What to Do in Cannes? Our Must-Sees

Cannes is about much more than just La Croisette and the Film Festival.

Between the Mediterranean, the Lérins Islands, the charming streets of Le Suquet, Forville Market and the beautiful neighbourhoods in the hills above Cannes, the city is easy to explore on foot or by bus.


Here are some of our favourite places, which we are always happy to recommend to our guests.

Pointe Croisette Beaches

We love taking a leisurely walk along the Croisette, stopping for a drink overlooking the sea, admiring the boutiques and grand hotels, or simply sitting for a while on one of the famous blue chairs and enjoying the view.


Towards the end of the day, as the light softens and Cannes begins to sparkle, the Croisette takes on a completely different atmosphere. It is a wonderful walk to enjoy both during the day and in the evening.


Our tip: take your time and simply enjoy the beautiful view across the bay.

Cannes - Le Suquet

Le Suquet, the Charm of Old Cannes

Perched above the Old Port, Le Suquet is the historic heart of Cannes, with charming narrow streets, stone stairways and beautiful views over the bay and the Lérins Islands.
Our tip: visit in the late afternoon, enjoy the views, then stroll down for dinner in one of its charming little streets.

I particularly enjoy walking up to the Château de la Castre through the narrow streets of Le Suquet. Once at the top, you’ll discover one of the most beautiful views in Cannes, overlooking the Old Port, the bay and the Lérins Islands.

I was lucky enough to explore the islands by kayak, right from the water. That’s where the photos I’m sharing here were taken: crystal-clear sea, small coves, pine trees reaching almost to the water and, all around, an amazing sense of peace just off the coast of Cannes.Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat are wonderful to explore on foot, but seeing them from the sea offers a completely different perspective. If you love nature and the Mediterranean, I highly recommend this trip. It remains one of my favourite memories of Cannes.

La Californie, Cannes in the Hills

Just a few minutes from the lively Croisette, La Californie reveals a quieter, more residential side of Cannes. Set in the hills, among elegant villas, Mediterranean gardens and lush greenery, the neighbourhood offers beautiful panoramic views over the Bay of Cannes and the Lérins Islands.
It is an area we particularly love for its peaceful atmosphere and magnificent views over Cannes.
